Yakusoku Kumite (Dan-nobu)
- Yakusoku Kumite is introduced at the brown belt level.
- It should always be practiced with perfect form.
- Yakusoku kumite is one of the required events for the Black Belt test.
The student maintains the role of attacker or defender for the entire seven points, roles are then reversed to complete the Kumite.
|1. Right reverse punch off back foot.||Left cross block & Grab. Nukite to throat.|
|2. Right reverse punch off back foot.||Outside circular block.|
|Left reverse punch off back foot.||Outside circular block.|
|3. Right reverse punch off back foot w/Sliding step||Left inside circular block.|
|Right front snap kick off rear foot.||Crescent kick block.|
|Left crescent kick.||Left inside circular block. Right bushkin to throat.|
|4. Left front snap kick off rear foot.||Left inside forearm block.|
|Right front snap kick.||Right outside forearm for the kick, then scoop leg under knee joint.|
|Right punch.||Left palm heal block for the punch.Takedown and shoken to the neck.|
|5. Right punch.||Left palm heal block & strike to the solar plexus.|
|Side kick to knee and take-down.|
|Left crescent kick to head.|
|Right shoken to the head.|
|6. Right front kick.||Inside block with right forearm.|
|Left crescent kick.||Block crescent with Left forearm and scoop through. Grab back of Gi and take down dragging attacked as you step back.|
|Shoken to back of head.|
|7. Left front kick off rear foot.||Block kick with outside block.|
|Right high punch.||High block with right arm.|
|Take-down (right hand on attacker right knee, left hand below knee).|
|Lift right attacker leg, stomp on groin.|
